Colin is a qualified accountant and originally comes from a practice background. Therefore, he has a wealth of experience in financial management and tax expertise and undertakes the Treasury functions of the AEMC.At Crystal Umbrella, Colin is jointly responsible for the strategic direction and running of the company and oversees the Finance, Sales and Compliance functions of the business.

Colin originally set up No Longer Limited, now re-branded to Crystal Umbrella for clarity’s sake, with the consciousness that freelancer contractors needed a clear, transparent and above all compliant accountancy service, which would meet the need of all types of contractors, and Crystal Umbrella Services commit and strive to achieve this.

Following a brief career in banking Jonathan established and ran a successful office equipment business before selling it and moving into the electronics and telecommunications sector.

This in turn gave way to a twelve year stint as a turnaround man, which ultimately took him to a small Surrey-based umbrella company. In the words of the late Mr Victor Kiam Jonathan liked the company so much that he bought it. From this grew Atlantic Umbrella Company and its sister companies which Jonathan has been running and growing ever since.

Adrian qualified in 1982 and at just 22 was one of the youngest Chartered Accountants in the country. On leaving Coopers & Lybrand in 1987 he started his own practice which operated as Learer Roberts prior to its merger with Westbury in November 2004.

In 1996, in parallel with his general practice, Adrian started planIT Services Limited, providing specialist accountancy and tax services to the freelance contractor market. Today planIT has successfully dealt with more than 14,000 contractors and Adrian is regarded as one of the leading authorities within this niche market. planIT Solutions is planIT's in house Umbrella service.
